Thank you

Thank you for following me and commenting on my blog.:)
Week 4: Reflect on final results (What knowledge did you gain? What new talents and abilities do you have?  What have you discovered about your limitations? What new friends and supporters do you have?)
On my risk project the results aren't looking so good. I still haven't been able to do the right thing with my tongue, teeth and my breath. It will not make the same sound each time. One time it is squeaky and then low sound and then when I finally get the right sound it only lasts like 2 seconds. I have only been able to play Hot Cross Buns 3 times due to my issue. So I don't think I learned any skills for later on and I failed on my risk.:(

Week 3: Reflect on your progress including successes, failures, and adjustments.

So far my risk has gone okay. One of my failures is that I can't hold the saxophone without my thumbs hurting.  Another one is I can't make the air make the right sound to even play the notes that often. It always screams or only lasts .79 seconds. To change that I am going to ask the expert at the school Dominic. Now the better news. The times I have been able to make the sound I was able to play Hot Cross Buns. You should know what that is other wise you obviosly haven't been paying attention. One of my adjustments is I am going to change my 'studio' to my room. My sisters hate it when I try to ply the saxophone when they are doing homework I am looking forward to seeing what your comments are and playing a new song!    :)

Ah Ha moment

At the beginning I thought that the saxophone had totally different keys than other instruments. But turns out when I was trying to learn the keys I thought" this looks like a recorder but mega sized." All the finguring is the same. That makes things a hole lot less conplicated.   Wa Ho.

Week 2

Week 2: Reflect on your goals (hopes, fears, & dreams) associated with your risk.
One of my goals is to play three songs. I hope it goes well but it is a risk. It might be successful or not. My fear is not going to be able to play one song. I should be able to at least play one but who knows. My long term goal after we are done with this unit is to play some other songs. I look forward to doing this.

Preparation Processes

Before I start playing song I need to prepare. Preparing to play the saxophone was pretty easy. All I had to do to find the materials was go into my attic. My sister played the saxophone in 5th grade. To put together the saxophone doesn't require much practice. In fact I got the hang of it by the second time I did it. Mom had a book about playing the saxophone when she did it back in the old day. Keep posted and leave comments on what you like or dislike. Thank you.
